A-Plus Needlework Stretching Service
There are five commonly used methods for stretching needlework:
Attaching to sticky board - we do not do that.
Folding and taping - we do not do that.
Stapling - we do not do that.
Pinning - this is our method of choice.
Couching or lacing - available upon request.
The edges of the piece are folded around an archival mounting board and pins are pushed through the fabric or canvas into the edges of the board. Our finished pieces are perfectly straight, tightly pulled with equal tension along all sides and neatly finished. We also offer washing and pressing, padding, and custom matting.
Our fee is $1.00 per united inch to stretch and $.50 per united inch to pack and ship. United inch measurements refer to width plus length. Examples:
16 x 20 = 36 united inches or $36.00 to stretch plus $18.00 to pack and ship.
8 x 10 = 18 united inches or $18.00 to stretch plus $9.00 to pack and ship.
If several pieces are sent which can be packed together for shipping , then the shipping fee will be adjusted to less than $.50 per united inch .
Additional services:
Wash and press - $.50 per united inch.
Padding - $.10 per united inch.
Custom matting - $1.00 per united inch. Allow us to choose the two best colors for a double acid-free mat to suit your piece or request colors of your choice. Mats can be sized to fit a standard frame or a custom frame. Example: An 8 x 8 inch needlework can be matted to a standard 11 x 14 frame or to a custom 13 x 13 frame.
Guarantee - If not fully satisfied your payment will be refunded.
Payment - All credit cards accepted, checks must be cleared before item is shipped. Customers will be contacted before work is done to finalize pricing.
